adult psychotherapy and psychoanalysis

C.G.Jung at Lake Zurich, Switzerland

Dr Feldman works with adults who are interested in growth, development and individuation (a process of becoming more deeply and authentically connected to one's self).  Individuals come to psychotherapy and analysis seeking to overcome psychological barriers which impede their emotional, creative and spiritual development.  Individuals also seek psychotherapy and analysis to work on issues of interpersonal intimacy and desire, identity and sexual concerns, as well as choice of career paths. Psychotherapy and analysis are tailored to meet the individual needs of the client.  An initial evaluation session is scheduled to discuss the needs/desires of the client and to determine the type of therapy that would be most beneficial.

Dr. Feldman trained in Jungian psychoanalysis at the Jung Institute of San Francisco and the Society of Analytical Psychology in London where he worked closely with Dr. Michael Fordham over a ten year period.  He also obtained training in clinical psychoanalysis over an eight year period in Paris with Dr. Joyce McDougall.  Dr. Feldman is a senior training analyst for the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and faculty member of the Jung Institute of San Francisco and member of the infant, child, and adolescent analysis training committee.  Dr. Feldman is a member of IAAP, the Jung Institute of San Francisco, and the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, APA, NAAP, and the National Register of Psychology Providers.

Dr Feldman works with individual clients in Spanish, French and Portuguese.  Sensitivity to cultural issues is an important component of treatment with individuals from other countries, cultural and religious traditions.
